Description
If a tourist wants to see Michelangelo's David, he can do so in Piazza della Signoria in front of Palazzo Vecchio or in the middle of Piazzale Michelangelo; if he wants to admire the original, however, he can do so only and exclusively at the Galleria dell'Accademia.
This is the ideal place in the city to discover not only Michelangelo's most famous work, David, but also other masterpieces by the great Florentine artist: the four Prisoners, St. Matthew and the Palestrina Pietà. This exceptional concentration of Michelangelo's works has contributed significantly to the fame of the Accademia Gallery, making it the second most visited museum in Florence after the Uffizi.
Given the relatively limited space of the museum and the large turnout, long lines of tourists waiting to enter, outside, are the order of the day. Even managing to get a ticket with a reservation is sometimes extremely difficult, which is why we have activated the Fast-Track-Ticket service with Host for the Accademia, in order to guarantee safe and immediate entry to the museum.
On the date and time chosen, our Assistant will be in front of the museum to give you your entrance ticket for quick access, ready to also give you all the information you may need for your independent visit.
