Always new experiences make the Genoa Aquarium immersive and engaging.
Since spring 2017, the Genoa Aquarium has also renovated two areas dedicated to reptiles and amphibians and to projects for the conservation and recovery of animals in difficulty or seized by the competent authorities and entrusted to the Aquarium. The new features add to an already rich and exciting journey to discover the seas of the world.

Lantern of Genoa
Visit the monumental complex of the Lantern, the symbol of the city: walk along the 800-metre promenade overlooking the port, which leads to the open air museum in the park, the suggestive museum in the ancient fortifications and the imposing lighthouse, from which it is possible to admire Genoa from the top of the first panoramic terrace.

What is there to know?

- The climb to the Lanterna is 172 steps. To face it you need to be in good physical condition.
- The visit is not recommended for people with heart or walking problems and pregnant women.
- The visit to the Lantern must be carried out with suitable footwear.
- Access not allowed to animals.
- In the external areas it is forbidden to play ball, ride a bike, use skateboards, skates, scooters, overboards and drones and it is forbidden to consume food (no picnic area).
