Instructions
Show your smartphone ticket to the guide who will be waiting for you in the main atrium of the Metropolitan Museum, near the Colossal Seated Statue of a Pharaoh located on your right as you enter.
The tour meeting time is 15 minutes before the starting time. There are no refunds for late arrivals or no-shows.
Those requiring wheelchair access to the museum will need to enter the museum to the left of the main entrance (while facing it) where there is a ground level entrance. Please inform the staff that you are meeting a tour group in the main lobby.
Additional Information
If you can't climb the stairs to the central entrance, there is a ground floor entrance one block south, near the intersection of 81st Street and 5th Avenue. Inform the front desk that you need to use the elevator to meet a group in the main lobby (by the Pharaoh statue) and present your entrance ticket. They will provide you with a temporary pass and direct you to the upper floor.
Galleries and artworks visited on this tour are subject to closure and absences without notice. Your guide may need to adjust the day of your tour to account for these events.
